CDBG Practice
Meridian has developed core competencies in many federal, state and local community development programs. However, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is at the vortex of it all. Meridian has assisted over seventy (70) government municipalities with implementing activities relative to the CDBG program. Projects ranging from multifamily housing rehabilitation to capital infrastructure improvements are among those upon which Meridian has strengthened its core competencies and built its expertise.
Meridian has managed over $500,000,000 in CDBG funding including disaster recovery allocations and has over 100 years experience in managing and implementing programs comparable to the CDBG program. Because of Meridian's vast experience with the CDBG program, it has been at the forefront of providing project design, program administration, project management, implementation and construction management services to all levels of government.
Meridian has built a reputation across the state of Florida and various other areas for effectively working with and implementing entitlement, non-entitlement and disaster recovery programs to meet stringent timetables while working with clients to ensure federal and state compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Through the CDBG program and many other funding sources, Meridian has assisted its clients in:
- Creating or expanding more than 80 businesses
- Creating more than 4,000 new jobs, and
- Rehabilitating more than 1,700 homes
Meridian has a tremendous track record relative to successful completion of projects and has been a trailblazer in grant administration and project development. This is evident in its track record with managing millions of dollars obtained on behalf of many local governments throughout the state of Florida and several other areas.
